London Met Regatta 2019

The Boys Are Back In Town.

HUGE congrats to our lads who won in Tier 2 single twice, Tier 4 4+ and Tier 4 single.

They’ve done us proud.

And here we have the whole crew!

Thank you to everyone who organised, supported and helped the club get to race here at London Met Regatta.

Massive thanks to our coaches Ruth and John who were there every second of the way.

Dublin Met Regatta 2019

Some great racing was done by UL with wins in Men’s Club 1 4+, Women’s Club 2 4x+ and Men’s Senior scull!

Well done to all crews who competed today!

Great to get the legs kicking before we jet off to London Met next weekend! Great to get the legs kicking before we jet off to London Met next weekend!

Club Cup 2019

The 3rd Annual Club Cup took place on Sunday the 19th of May 2019. The biggest year yet for the event that brings together alumni and current members for a day of racing.

Due to over 30 participants, this year saw not only the traditional mixed 8 race, but also a mixed quad race. Ergs – the usual method of torture for rowers – were used in a relay race between all the club couples. Previous club captains, our current captain (Conor Carmody) and next seasons captain (Kealan Mannix), all took part in a friendly 100m race.

Food was a-plenty in the barbeque following the morning events. Many thanks to our sponsors – Brady’s Ham of Kildare and O’Connell Butchers of Limerick – for helping feed the masses.

Big thank you to all past and present club members who took part. We’re all committed to the growth and progression of our club. Hope to see much more of you in the future.

Well done to everyone who organised such a good day! 😁 Next stop, Dublin Met!

Paddy Dooley Scholarship 2019

Huge congratulations to this year’s recipient of the Paddy Dooley Rowing Scholarship, Megan Carmody. On top of being a brilliant student, Megan has a long career of rowing with 2 Irish jerseys for the Homes Junior Pair. She has wins at London Met and many regattas last season with ULRC. Megan is also this year’s women’s captain. No better woman for It! Congrats. Thank you to the Dooley family for their continued support of ULRC
